Mary Hare School website
During Q2, Q3 and Q4 of 2024 we worked closely with the amazing team at the Mary Hare School to completely overhaul their existing website.
Mary Hare School is the largest residential school for deaf children and young people in the UK, located in Newbury, Berkshire. This fabulous school has been caring about and transforming young peoples’ lives since 1916.
We did it all. From engineering the site and content architecture, design, build, data migration, SEO and everything else required to create a modern website that, in their words, ‘is not just another typical school website’. It’s the reason they commissioned us.
Of course, like all websites we build, the Mary Hare School website is underpinned with solid base of accessibility, so it is as easy to use with a keyboard and screenreader as it is with a mouse or a touch device.
The Mary Hare School website is fully managed by the Mary House School team as this website is built with Craft CMS, so maintaining it is a breeze.
Cool customisation feature
This website needed to resonate with many different user groups and we wanted every visitor to quickly get to the content they were looking for.

To aid their journey the Mary Hare School website allows users to enhance their experience by identifying their purpose for visiting the website. Once selected, the website’s navigation and the home page content grid is tailored to display content to match their selection.

A few kind words…
It would seem we have a happy client, which is nice.
For full disclosure, this project was started when I was a director of Scaramanga Agency, before leaving to set-up Kindera. The project was completed by Kindera.
